The project consisted of refurbishing a small industrial building between party walls into dwellings that attempted to resemble the original concept of 'loft'; in the size of the resulting flats as well as in the treating of spaces and finishes.

The existing structure made any substantial modifications of the property economically non-viable, therefore we decided to organize the project around a minimum set of interventions.

Collaborators: Eleuterio Nicolas

1. Substituting the stairwell and adding a new lift that would serve 5 resulting dwellings and fulfilled current regulations.

2. Opening two large courtyards, in between the existing deck trusses, which provided a certain hierarchy to the big spaces of the two dwellings on the first floor and offered privacy areas as well.

3. Adding two attics under the roof.

The rest consisted of minor redistribution operations.
