The challenge was making the best use of this small ground floor premises in the old part of Barcelona while adapting it to the needs of an architectural practice. A single large bench facing the street provides a clean and pleasant working area and allows for natural illumination. Most of the machinery is kept in a large storing space behind the bench hidden by a curtain. The narrowing on the inside is used as a more private office which can be isolated from the rest of the office through a large glass panel that is kept open most of the time. The bath is also used as the archive and the utility room and its door is part of the decoration of the wall it's placed on, together with the blackboard. Every table can fold onto walls and ceiling in order to get an open plan that can be eventually used as a gallery.
