The competition demanded the addition of two covered swimming pools in a rather destructured lot due to the chaotic layout of the existing: a lively square square but with no relation to the lot, a sports pavillion lacking any architectural interest, a hockey court hardly articulated to the pavillion and three open-air swimming pools on a dubious layout. Our project re-arranged the sports complex by unifying the entrance to all sport facilities through a new public square. The square was the enlargement of the existing one while it became the meeting point for the two more important streets in town. The new swimming pool opens up to the good views and orientation. Illumination and ventilation of the new changing rooms is granted by patios. The building is environmentaly-friendly.
